May 31 official visitors Florida can make a move with
Just over 48 hours from now, the Florida Gators will be hosting their first batch of 2025 official visitors.
Fourteen prospects currently make up the list for May 31-June 1, with the majority of them being equipped with four stars. Multiple Florida commits will be in Gainesville as well.
Below, Gators Online highlights five official visitors UF can make a move with this weekend.
4-star OT Ziyare Addison, Riverview (Fla.) Sumner
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 182 prospect | No. 14 offensive tackle | No. 25 prospect in Florida
Notes: The Gators likely have the most momentum here after two strong presentations in the spring. Now, they will be able build on that with multiple days of red-carpet treatment. Addison loves the structure of the Gators’ program and is really connecting with co-offensive line coach John DeCoster, previously calling him the most-detail oriented coach he knows. This is a high-character kid doing plenty of research and taking several official visits, but the Gators could move into the driver’s seat with another strong showing this weekend.
4-star WR Joshua Moore, Pembroke Pines (Fla.) West Broward
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 196 prospect | No. 25 wide receiver | No. 26 prospect in Florida
Notes: Florida, Miami, Florida State and Georgia are the top-four schools for Moore; however, he doesn’t take part in many interviews and word is there not much separation among those schools. The Gators have the opportunity to set the tone ahead of a busy month and will likely have several coaches with him at all times, as Billy Napier‘s staff views Moore as a priority target. The Florida Gators’ recent success with Ricky Pearsall stands out too. Moore hasn’t been in Gainesville much as of late, so this is a big visit for both parties.
3-star TE Micah Jones, Madison (Miss.) Central
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 467 prospect | No. 28 tight end | No. 15 prospect in Mississippi
Notes: To our knowledge, Florida is the only school with a scheduled official visit for June. That is promising itself, but Jones is also very familiar with campus and the staff. He was offered nearly a year ago and has since taken multiple trips to Gainesville, including one for a game. Jones’ relationship with tight ends coach Russ Callaway is another major highlight. The 6-foot-5 rising senior has pretty much seen it all and will receive the final touches this weekend. The Florida Gators have a lot going for them ahead of a July commitment month, while LSU is a strong option as well.
3-star TE Tae’shaun Gelsey, Jacksonville (Fla.) Riverside
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 623 prospect | No. 34 tight end | No. 79 prospect in Florida
Notes: On Tuesday, I submitted an On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pick for the Gators to land Gelsey. He doesn’t plan to make a decision until mid-July, but Florida wants him in the class and could push for a commitment this weekend. Wake Forest is another school with an official visit date. Florida is obviously the bigger offer though and not far from home. It’s also a school he grow up rooting for, so the SEC program can become the clear leader with a strong showing this weekend.
3-star ATH Kaylib Singleton, Fleming Island (Fla.) High
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 1,039 prospect | No. 69 athlete | No. 79 prospect in Florida
Notes: I was close to putting 4-star linebacker Christian Gass in this spot; however, Singleton is one I have on commitment watch for this weekend. Also, after visiting in April, the safety target said the thought of committing to the Gators had already crossed his mind. Florida has been the school to watch since an offer was extended at the start of the year and those relationships are only getting stronger. Secondary coach Will Harris is making Singleton feel like a priority and that is making a difference too. LSU, Syracuse, Rutgers and Kentucky are additional offers of note.
Stay tuned to Gators Online.
