Top-5 NASCAR Paint Schemes: Texas Motor Speedway playoff race

Top-5 NASCAR Paint Schemes: Texas Motor Speedway playoff race

This week we have a special group of NASCAR paint schemes to show you. Everything is bigger in Texas, folks. There is a lot on the line as the playoffs move into the Round of 12 starting this weekend. We only have one playoff driver in our group of five.

It is a shame that we didn’t see more pizzazz from the playoff field, but that’s alright. This is the time of the week we put aside results and finishes and focus on the aesthetics. This is basically the NASCAR equivalent of keeping up with what shoes and outfits NBA players are wearing in the tunnel as they arrive at the stadium.

Another Jordan Brand design and Spire Motorsports is showing off again. Quietly buying a charter one week and then the next week debuting a new sponsor on your car – I see what you’re up to over there. This Gainbridge/Group 1001 partnership is starting to make a ton of sense.

Best NASCAR schemes in the Lone Star State

Zane Smith – Ambetter Health Ford
Speaking of Spire, Zane Smith is back this week in the Cup Series. Smith just signed a multi-year deal with Trackhouse Racing that will send him to Spire for 2024. For now, he’s still with Ford and rocking the pink Ambetter scheme. 7.5/10.

COMPETITION NOTES: @ZaneSmith goes Cup racing at the @TXMotorSpeedway with @AmbetterHealth.

Erik Jones – VsEverybody.com Chevy
Dallas VS. Everybody! That’s what is going down for Erik Jones and his 43 team. The VsEverybody.com Chevy looks awesome. LEGACY Motor Club has really hit with their schemes this season. The alternates are usually fun. 8.5/10.

Tyler Reddick – Jordan Brand Toyota
Another week and another Jordan Brand car to help with the release of a new shoe. Coming to Texas, Reddick is rocking the Jordan Luka 2 “Trick Shot” scheme this week. The green and white is awesome, it pops. J. Balvin popped up at Bristol, will Luka be in the pit box with Michael Jordan at Texas? 9/10.

Ty Gibbs – Interstate Batteries Toyota
Joe Gibbs Racing has not one, not two, but THREE Interstate Batteries schemes this week. Christopher Bell in the usual green scheme for Cup, Trevor Bayne in the Xfinity Series. However, this black scheme for Ty Gibbs is too good not to include. 9.5/10, my favorite look of the week. Here are all three cars for your viewing pleasure:

Ty Dillon – Shelton Companies Chevy
Are you surprised by how often Ty Dillon finds himself on this list? I think this is the third time I’ve included him this season. Spire has more investment than before, a new third charter, and now another new sponsor hops on. Shelton Companies joins the fold and this is a solid look. I do love the Spire font, especially in red. 8/10.
