Last week in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Charlotte, Austin Hill got a little heated and went after Cole Custer on the track. Hill intentionally kept his foot in the gas, wrecking Custer in the process.
Of course, it all started before that when the two drivers were racing hard for position. Neither was having the day they had hoped to have at Charlotte. Then, emotions got the best of Austin Hill.
As a result, NASCAR fined Hill $25,000 and deducted 25 points from him in the driver standings. He was the points leader prior to that penalty and now sits third.
RCR will not appeal the penalties, according to Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports.
This is a developing story…
