Returns are coming in strong from a big Miami recruiting weekend
Miami coach Mario Cristobal and his staff have sights set on another top five recruiting class after signing one in the 2024 cycle.
This weekend’s crop of official visitors would go a long way towards achieving that.
Sitting on the On3 Industry’s No. 17 class in America coming in, Cristobal and company hosted several top targets and the returns are coming in strong on Sunday.
“This weekend was definitely great,” Enterprise (Ala.) High On300 edge Zion Grady said. The Hurricanes have On3 RPM traction with Grady who is also high on Florida State, Auburn, Ohio State and Tennessee.
“It was about building relationships with the coaches and players. We had a great weekend around Miami.”
Grady feels The U can maximize his potential.
“Being able to be developed by great coaches is what excites me about Miami,” he said.
Grady was joined on campus by his Enterprise High teammates in On300 safety Eric Winters and defensive back Andrew Purcell.
A couple of Miami’s top running back targets took the visit in On300 recruit Byron Louis and Shekai Mills-Knight.
The Hurricanes continue to move the needle with several other top targets including one of their top cornerback prospects in Ruston (La.) High’s Aidan Anding.
“The environment in Coral Gables was a peaceful and an enjoyable environment,” Anding said. “It was never a boring moment here in Miami. The thing that continues to excite me here in Miami is the love and energy that the staff has and my playing time here on the field.”
Tampa (Fla.) Sumner receiver Tyler Williams made it on to campus as well.
“The weekend was amazing,” Williams said. “They treated me and my family with so much love and we we had so much fun and learned so much about the university that could be my future home.”
Miami will be looking for a few flips this cycle and New Iberia (La.) Westgate On300 cornerback Jaboree Antoine is one they’d love to add. Antoine is a verbal to LSU.
“They are the only school that has really been consistent since offering me, text me every day, call me every day, a school that has been in my ear a lot,” Antoine said. “I had a fun time, a good experience. Miami was the first school to offer me so I had to give them a chance. Coming down and talking to the coaching staff, seeing everybody, it was building that relationship and I enjoyed it.”
Stay tuned to On3 as more reaction continues to come in.
