Predicting the Pac: Week Two

Predicting the Pac: Week Two

We are back with a look at a very exciting week two for the Pac-12 conference. It was a solid season opener for nearly all last week as the conference went undefeated but it was USC’s second game of the season.

This week there are some really intriguing out of conference matchups along with our first Pac-12 conference game.

Thanks to Florida and TCU crapping the bed, I went 10-2 last week with my picks. No, they aren’t against the spread which is of course tougher to do. I’m just making my picks outright. Let’s get into the games and my picks for this week.

(All games are Saturday and time is PST)

Utah @ Baylor

9:00 AM – ESPN

Give me the Utes to move on to 2-0 despite no Cam Rising. Baylor might be in trouble this season as the shine fades a little on Dave Aranda.

Nebraska @ Colorado

9:00 AM – Fox

I was wrong about Colorado week one. I won’t be wrong about them week two. Now, they are better and have some playmakers. But TCU was terrible and Nebraska isn’t there yet. Before Travis Hunter gets run down, the Buffs will stay hot with his big play.

Tulsa @ Washington

2:00 PM – Pac-12

UW easily moves on to 2-0 without breaking a sweat. I know they looked good against Boise but they weren’t very good. We won’t really know how good the Huskies are or aren’t for a few more weeks.

Oregon @ Texas Tech

4:00 PM – FOX

I’m sure most of you know I’ve already picked Oregon. I’m not changing now just because Bruce Feldman and Stewart Mandel picked Tech.

Wisconsin @ Wazzu

4:30 PM – ABC

I like Wazzu and I think this will be close, but I’m going with Wisconsin on this one. In a close, last possession kind of game.

Arizona @ Mississippi State

4:30 PM – SECN

Give me Zona in a close one. Lots of wide open offense. Mike Leach will be smiling down on it, other than the result for State.

UCLA @ SDSU

4:30 PM – CBS

UCLA rolls to 2-0. Don’t get cute Chip, just start the freshman.

UC Davis @ Oregon State

6:00 PM – Pac-12

OSU wins easily too. But they remain without a conference.

Stanford @ USC

7:30 PM – Fox

USC will win. Barely. Don’t let the slow start by Stanford fool you, they had eyes a week ahead. We will really see the holes in USC’s defense this week.

Auburn @ Cal

7:30 PM – ESPN

Auburn wins here but the late game and travel to Berkeley takes its toll. Closer than it should be because, well, Pac-12 after dark.

Oklahoma State @ ASU

7:30 PM

ASU wins a game nobody gets to watch once again. (Not televised)
