New On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pick in favor of Florida
On Sunday, Gators Online submitted an On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pick in favor of the Florida Gators.
It’s for Brewton (Ala.) Tri School linebacker Myles Johnson. He is currently committed to Alabama and returned to Gainesville this weekend for his official visit.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Johnson is the No. 42 linebacker and No. 458 prospect overall in the 2025 class.
Let’s dive in to explain the latest prediction
Why I believe Florida is positioned best for Myles Johnson
To our knowledge, Florida is the only school with an official visit scheduled for June. That includes Alabama as well.
In addition to that, a source close to the Crimson Tide tells me the new Alabama staff is still evaluating the 3-star prospect. That is due to an injury Johnson has been rehabbing the past couple of months.
All in all, communication with the Crimson Tide is minimal right now, while multiple Gators coaches are pursuing Myles Johnson multiple times a week. They’ve been pushing fairly hard since an offer was extended at the start of the year. That was after Johnson’s first visit to the Swamp.
Also, when returning to the football facilities on Sunday morning, Johnson was spotted in Billy Napier‘s car. That was his ride to campus this morning. If that doesn’t show how important Myles is for inside linebackers coach Ron Roberts and company, I don’t know what else does.
LSU and Ole Miss are additional schools that have been mentioned, but as of today, I’m confident in where the Florida Gators stand. All signs point to them having the momentum after this official visit.
Stay tuned to Gators Online.
