Marshall Transfer LB Landyn Watson to Visit Kentucky on Thursday
Marshall transfer linebacker Landyn Watson earned an offer from Kentucky on Monday. Now, he’s got his visit set.
The 6-foot-3, 235-pound linebacker told KSR+ that he will take his official visit to Kentucky on Thursday, Dec. 12th. He’s looking to commit by the end of the week.
“I know that it’s a defensive program,” Watson told KSR+ on Monday. “They pride themselves on defense. I know they’ve put plenty of linebackers in the league in recent years.”
Watson went into further depth on his thoughts on Kentucky in an interview with KSR+ on Monday. He said Kentucky linebacker coach Mike Stoops and defensive coordinator Brad White have both been in contact.
Watson has received several offers, in addition to Kentucky. He added offers from Mississippi State, Southern Mississippi, and FAU after officially entering the portal on Monday evening.
Landyn Watson’s Game
Landyn Watson spent the last two seasons at Marshall after transferring from TCU. He recorded 66 tackles and one interception in 11 games during the 2024 season.
“My greatest strength on the field is my versatility,” Watson told KSR+. “I’m able to be effective in the run game, as well as in the passing game with coverage and rushing the passer. I’m a versatile player and that helps me make more plays on the field.”
