Kyron Drones injury update: Major news emerges on Virginia Tech QB during spring
Major news emerged on Virginia Tech quarterback Kyron Drones Saturday. Action Network’s Brett McMurphy reported Drones will sit out the remainder of spring practice to undergo a minor medical procedure.
Head coach Brent Pry confirmed the news as well. The hope is Drones will return and be ready for summer workouts ahead of the 2025 season.
Drones was initially healthy going into spring practice. Pry even said his QB returned to form, but there appears to have been a minor setback.
“Kyron has demonstrated excellent leadership & has had an outstanding winter & spring,” Pry said. “We fully anticipate he will be ready to return for summer workouts.”
