INTEL: On300 WR schedules first visit to Ohio State
COLUMBUS – Ohio State offensive coordinator Brian Hartline has been one of the best recruiters in the college football since being named the Buckeyes full-time wide receivers coach in 2018.
Hartline has signed dozens of talented wide receivers at Ohio State including Garrett Wilson, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Marvin Harrison Jr. and most recently Jeremiah Smith. He also two talented wide receivers already committed in the 2026 class: Five-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. and four-star Pataskala (Ohio) Watkins Memorial wide receiver Jaeden Ricketts.
Hartline is not done, however. The Buckeyes have already offered several talented pass-catchers in the 2026 class but they are also recruiting staying in touch with a few offered prospects. One of those prospects is four-star Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School wide receiver Gordon Sellars.
The 6-foot-3, 175-pound Sellars tells Lettermen Row that he will visit Ohio State on March 17 for the Buckeyes first spring practice. Sellars has been in communication with assistant wide receivers coach Devin Jordan and is excited to see Columbus for the first time.
“I have been talking to Coach Jordan for about a week or two now,” Sellars told Lettermen Row. “Knowing their background and what they’re about makes me want to visit.”
On3 ranks Sellars as the No. 185 overall prospect and No. 24 wide receiver in the 2026 class. He is the No. 208 and No. 34 wide receiver in the On3 Industry Rankings.
Sellars recently named Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina and South Carolina as his top five schools. He has official visits scheduled with the Tigers, Gamecocks and Bulldogs.
As a junior, Sellars had 50 receptions for 975 yards and 10 touchdowns in 12 games. He also helped return kicks for Providence Day School.
