Green flag for NASCAR FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan on hold due to rain
The NASCAR FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway is on hold while rain moves through the area. NASCAR officials are hoping to get the track dry and get to racing as soon as the can.
There are no wet-weather tires for Michigan. Those tires are reserved for tracks no bigger than one mile in length. Besides, the speeds at Michigan mixed with the rain don’t bode well for anyone no matter what tires you have.
NASCAR at Michigan is on hold. The green flag will drop when the track is dry, and let’s hope that we won’t encounter any more delays. A hard out tonight at 8:20 with no lights at the track.
If the race gets to halfway or to the end of Stage 2, whichever comes first, it will be official. If not, we could be seeing Monday racing. Let’s hope we see all 400 miles today, right folks?
This is a developing story…
