WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Be sure to stay tuned later this morning as we’ll be catching up with Mario Cristobal and players for their takes following practice … including what they are saying off the weekend’s final fall scrimmage.

Till then? We’ve got plenty more team news, including Cristobal’s initial take off that aforementioned scrimmage. And today we’re looking at your 5 Bold Miami Hurricanes Predictions For The Season, so you don’t want to miss that. We also had an analysis of our breakout defensive players of fall camp (on the heels of our look at the offensive breakout players). Check out our analysis rebutting a list that says Miami has one of the nation’s easiest schedules. Not quite, and we show why.

Also be sure to tune in for Gary Ferman’s discussion with J.D. Pickell about the coming Miami Hurricanes season during the On3 Roundtable.

Plus there’s plenty of new recruiting updates.

Gray (Ga.) Jones County head coach Mike Chastain has seen plenty of future Power Five quarterbacks over the years, including former Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm, but 2024 Miami commit Judd Anderson sticks out in his own way. We have insight on Anderson from Chastain you don’t want to miss.

Theodore (Al.) Miami 2024 four-star linebacker commit Cam Pruitt made a name for himself at the high school level with his versatility, and as he goes into his senior season, Theodore head coach Steve Mask is finding increasingly creative ways to get Pruitt involved.

Then we move on to Julian Marks, the No. 170 overall prospect in next year’s recruiting class and No. 16 defensive lineman in the On300. He has over 20 offers an landed a Miami scholarship in early August. He updates where things stand.

Plus, after earning an offer from Miami after a fall game day visit last season, four-star Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn has seen his recruit stock continue to rise, and the Hurricanes made sure to let Strayhorn know how much he is wanted in Coral Gables.

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy linebacker Gavin Nix is another update we do – he’s begun to forge a strong relationship with the entire Canes staff and specifically coach Derek Nicholson.

And, since offering Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy wide receiver Donovan Olugbode in May, the Miami Hurricanes have continued to put their best foot forward when it comes to the recruitment of the four-star prospect. So read about that, too.

Oh, and there’s also a look at Miami’s top remains targets in the 2024 class, so check that out.

There’s also a hoops update, with Miami considered one of the teams that has a meaningful chance at a national title run off its Final Four appearance. We break that down.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Season prediction … Posted by Umazing561

– Top 15 offense

– TVD has big year, but not big enough to win 10/11 games due to defense still giving up points, making him 2/3 round pick in the draft.

– We go 8-4, to 9-3, end year in the top 25.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“With Coach DNic (Nicholson), I love his passion for the game, and with coach (Mario) Cristobal, I really love that whole staff. Every time I go down there, they show me and my family a great time. My relationship and the stuff that we’re building with Miami is great. It’s a lot of love down there.”
