WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
Well, be sure to stay tuned for CaneSport Live tonight at 8 p.m. as Gary Ferman and Izubee Charles talk about the statue of the team with fans.
Also from yesterday you can check out what Mario Cristobal and coordinators Shannon Dawson and Lance Guidry were saying coming off the shocking loss to Georgia Tech. We also have five key takeaways off the press conference with the coaches.
This morning we are taking a closer look at where Miami goes from here, with CaneSport managing editor Matt Shodell sharing his thoughts. Did the importance of winning at UNC actually become moreso with the loss than it would have been with a pair of undefeated teams playing?
In recruiting we also have new updates.
Miami’s 23-20 loss to Georgia Tech on Saturday night certainly was devastating to fans. But it was far from that as it pertains to the Hurricanes’ chances with Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage four-star 2025 running back Deandre Desinor. Check out what he’s saying.
We also catch up with Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage four-star running back Byron Louis. For him the final outcome of Miami’s 23-20 loss to Georgia Tech Saturday hasn’t mattered nearly as much as the effort the Hurricanes’ staff has made for him since the start of August.
Plus be sure to check out your Pro Canes, with stats from the weekend’s games.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
This vanilla offense and not showing stuff? … Posted by Canes76
Really?
The offense we saw the first 4 games was totally different than we saw Saturday night.
What is the point “not showing North Carolina anything.”
Like we are in any position to do that… It’s like a prevent defense… Trying not to lose vs trying to win.
It’s stupid – I’d rather have us say, this is what we are going to do, try and stop us.
Excuses – we played like garbage.
MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY
“It doesn’t affect it at all. Honestly, I feel the adversity and the loss, they’re just lessons learned at the end of the day. I feel as if, ‘Yeah, they lost, and at the end of the day, I feel like they could have won that game.’ One or two plays does make a difference, but at the end of the day they’re still Miami, and I still have hope – the future is still bright.”
