Commitment Impact: What’s Next for Oregon at Wide Receiver?

Moments ago Dan Lanning added to his 2025 recruiting class. This time pulling in another receiver Oregon prioritized very early on.

With the addition of Cooper Perry, things remain on track for Oregon to sign a bigger but solid wide receiver group. It seems like Junior Adams has cast a very wide net across the country looking for the top receivers. I definitely don’t think Perry will be the last. In fact I would not be surprised to see Oregon attempt to add at least two or even three more.

Still, we’ve seen some really good wide receivers enter the transfer portal. So even if Oregon were to miss on every remaining target moving forward, which remains incredibly unlikely, they would be able to supplement in the portal as needed next Winter. I do not expect Oregon to pursue any receivers in the upcoming Spring transfer portal window starting next week.

So who are the top names for Oregon fans to track? Let’s take a quick look for review with Perry now off the board.

Isaiah Mozee — Might be Oregon’s next commit at this position. Tough to say but the real battle seems to be Oregon and Missouri at the moment with Oklahoma lurking. The Ducks are really deep in this recruitment and I could see Mozee joining Perry in this class.

Phillip Bell — Another top name to watch. I still think Oregon might be a little on the outside looking in, probably in the top three range. Bell did recently visit Oregon and the Ducks are certainly in the mix.

Chris Lawson — Might be the sort of sleeper in this group to me. I think Oregon really likes Lawson and that is reciprocated. He was also recently on campus and has been in Eugene a few times. I’m not saying Oregon leads here but I think they are very near the top.

Marcus Harris — Harris recently announced his top five and it included Oregon. He’s also expected to take his official visit in June, which will be key. It kind of feels like Oregon is again maybe just outside the top two at the moment, but we know that’s close enough to be within striking distance for Junior Adams.

Michael Terry — Terry is an elite athlete and highly coveted by many of the top schools, including Oregon. He’s expected on campus in May which will be a very big visit for Oregon to get in the game. It’s also expected the hire of Ra’Shaad Samples should help Oregon here.

Derek Meadows — Oregon is interested in Meadows, but I’m not sure he’s really high on the board. Notre Dame and others have poured in a little more effort early on here so we’ll see if things change. For now keep tabs on him but I think others on this list have better odds of ending up at Oregon.

Donovan Olugbode — Like Meadows, I don’t think Oregon is the team to beat or close to it. He will take an official visit in June but until that happens I have a tough time getting too excited about Olugbode coming all the way from Florida.

Dakorien Moore — The crown jewel of the class. As we know Oregon was already thick in the game here but Samples is supposed to really help with his recruitment. Moore is committed to LSU but is taking visits and keeping his options open. Oregon would never turn him away and I don’t think he’s close to making a final decision.
