BIG CAT COMMIT: Class of 2026 4-star LB Shadarius Toodle commits to Auburn

Four-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle, who is ranked the No. 64 overall recruit in the 2026 class, has committed to Auburn.

Toodle, who attends Cottage Hill Christian Academy in Mobile, Ala., announced his decision Friday on social media. He chose the Tigers over  LSU, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina and Texas A&M, among others.

Toodle’s commitment came shortly after arriving in Auburn for Big Cat. He is the first commitment of the weekend for the Tigers and third in the 2026 class. He joins four-star offensive lineman Kail Ellis and four-star wide receiver Denairius Gray in Auburn’s ’26 class, which is now ranked No. 3 in the country.

Toodle is listed at 6-foot-2.5 and 210 pounds. The On3 Industry Ranking, which is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, ranks him the No. 4 linebacker in the country. He also ranks the No. 3 overall recruit in Alabama behind only Anthony Jones and Hezekiah Harris, both of whom are visiting Auburn for Big Cat.

“Shadarius Toodle is a big, physical inside linebacker with the potential high-level run defender. He has very good size, measuring in around 6-foot-3, 220 pounds and pairs that frame with good play speed and a physical nature on Friday nights.

“Toodle makes some nice plays as a pursuit defender and shows the striking power to level ball carriers. He’s a violent finisher and had a very productive junior season with 103 tackles and 10 sacks. This is what a SEC linebacker prospect looks like as a sophomore.”
