Bag of Bones: Where is Georgia stand with 4-star Christian Gass?
We are nine days away from Covington (Ga.) Eastside four-star linebacker Christian Gass‘ college commitment.
The No. 85 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Rankings will pick between Georgia, Tennessee and USC on July 20.
Based on talking with sources, no decision has been made. Today, Tennessee is the program with the most buzz. Georgia is still very much on the table. Things are tight.
Gass will sit down with family over the next few days and weigh his options. Tennessee made a major push during Gass’s official visit on June 21. The Volunteers have made Gass feel like a priority as has Georgia and USC.
Going into that visit Georgia and USC were running neck and neck at the top. Tennessee came out of that weekend with a strong position in Gass’s recruitment.
The in-state program, Georgia is considered one of the top two. The Bulldogs have recruited Gass hard over the last few months. He came onto the national scene in the spring.
Tennessee and USC offered just before Georgia offered. Glenn Schumann has been a key in the pursuit of Gass as of late.
Gass could be a hybrid of inside linebacker and edge player should he land with Georgia. Chidera Uzo-Diribe is also playing a role here for Georgia down the stretch.
This weekend will be key for Gass as he meets with family and has some last-minute talks with coaches at all three programs.
This will likely come down to the wire for the four-star linebacker.
