Report: Scott Frost expected to return to UCF as head coach

Scott Frost is closing in on a return to college football. He is expected to head back to UCF as its next head coach, the Orlando Sentinel’s Matt Murschel reported.

Frost last coached at the college level in 2022 at Nebraska and was fired mid-season. He is currently working in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams as an analyst, but there was a sense he could get back into the college game.

During his first stint at UCF from 2016-17, Frost totaled a 19-7 record over two seasons, including a 12-4 mark in American Athletic Conference play. Now, he’s preparing to return to Orlando and replace Gus Malzahn, who’s taking over as the offensive coordinator at Florida State.
