College Football Playoff selection committee meal lineup during games revealed

While the inevitable public outcry from some fanbases is surely not enjoyable, life on the College Football Playoff selection committee is pretty cushy, as job descriptions go. Meet up, watch football, rank some teams, and head home.

And from the cushy confines of the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine, Texas, the selection committee is watching Saturday’s conference championship action in sumptuous comfort. Plus, they’re eating excellently, too.

In response to someone implying the committee is out-of-touch with football fandom by sharing a video of the group watching the games in a sterile-looking room, CFP director Allison Doughty shared a picture of the menu board.

It’s quite the feast.

Breakfast, 8:30-10 a.m.: Fruit, pastries, yogurt, oatmeal, grits, eggs and omelets, sausage, potatoes and CFP “world famous bacon”

10 a.m.: Cinnamon rolls and kolaches

12 p.m.: Soup, salads and sandwiches

1-8 p.m.: Freshly popped popcorn

2-5 p.m.: Nacho bar, charcuterie and fruit

6-8 p.m.: Wings, hot dogs, hamburgers, shrimp, grilled chicken and chili

Halftime: Chips, dip and cake pops

All day: Snack boxes, drinks and ice cream

Something for everyone, and with catering as such, it’s hard not to be envious of the committee’s setup.
