Keionte Scott update: Vanderbilt at Auburn Thursday injury report revealed

The Vanderbilt Commodores are on the road this week with a trip to play the Auburn Tigers. There, the Commodores will look to bounce back from a close loss to Texas and get back to winning. Meanwhile, the Tigers are looking to build on their win over Kentucky going into the final month of the season.

At this point in the season, there are several injuries that every team is dealing with. That includes several key injuries, like Keionte Scott, a defensive back for Auburn. He appeared on Wednesday’s injury report and was listed as questionable. With two other defensive backs already ruled out for the game and a talented quarterback in Diego Pavia on the other sideline, finding a way to get Scott on the field is going to be big.

With all of that in mind, here is a look at the injury report that both teams released on Thursday:

Auburn Tigers

OLB Jamonta Waller–Out

DB Tyler Scott–Out

DB Champ Anthony–Out

TE Brandon Frazier–Out

DB Keionte Scott–Questionable

Vanderbilt Commodores

DL Khordae Sydnor–Probable

The matchup that most people are looking for is between Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia and Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze. That’s because Pavia has beaten Freeze in each of the last two seasons. That goes back to 2022 when they were at New Mexico State and Liberty, and then last season in Freeze’s first at Auburn.

Leading into the game, Freeze joked, “I’m sick of seeing that quarterback.”

For Vanderbilt, there had been some concern that Pavia was injured against Texas. After the game, head coach Clark Lea even admitted he was banged up.

“You know, as far as I know, and we’ll need to get an assessment afterwards, so I don’t wanna comment on, you know, obviously he finished the game out. He was banged up there and needed attention,” Clark Lea said. “I thought Nate [Johnson] came in and was able to do a good job and get a conversion. But this is going to be Diego’s – the reality of him closing the season out. He’s taken hits. He’s played tough. I thought he was gutsy tonight in the way he led the offense at the end. And he’s a fighter.”

This wasn’t the final injury report that’s going to be released before the game. So, there’s still time for more movement. The next will be released on Friday evening, around 8:00 p.m. EST.

Kickoff at Jordan-Hare Stadium is currently scheduled for 12:45 p.m. EST on Saturday, November 2nd.
