Kentucky Injury Report: Minor changes in Thursday update

Before every SEC game, each team must publicly share injury reports, a new change for the fall 2024 college football season. Players must be listed as out (0% chance to play), doubtful (25% chance to play), questionable (50% chance to play), or probable (75% chance to play).

When the first Availability Report of the week was shared on Wednesday, we saw 16 Kentucky players appear on the list. The second one was released on Thursday night and it included the same 16 Wildcats, but with some minor changes. Quay’sheed Scott and Jayvant Brown have been downgraded to out while defensive back DJ Waller Jr. has been upgraded to probable.

Starters Maxwell Hairston, Jordan Dingle, Gerald Mincey, D’Eryk Jackson, and J.J. Weaver remain listed as out. Kentucky is likely to get back Demie Sumo-Karngbaye and nose tackle Tavion Gadson this week while Deone Walker is also listed as probable.

Two more Availability Reports will be published ahead of the Tennessee game. We’ll receive another updated report on Friday night and a final report on Saturday 90 minutes before the Wildcats take the field at Neyland Stadium.

Tennessee still with 5 players on Availability Report

Josh Heupel‘s team is also dealing with some injuries this week. The Volunteers are currently without two defensive starters. The only change in Thursday’s updated report was William Satterwhite being upgraded from questionable to probable.
