Notre Dame QB commit Deuce Knight locks in Auburn return visit
Lucedale (Miss.) George County On300 quarterback Deuce Knight will visit Auburn for the season opener on the The Plains. The Tigers will kickoff the 2024 campaign against Alabama A&M.
It will be a family affair.
“My wife, his brothers and sisters are going,” Knight’s father Justin said.
The 6-foot-4 1/2, 208-pound Knight is currently a verbal to Notre Dame. He also visited Auburn at the end of July for Big Cat weekend.
Auburn is trending on the On3 RPM to ultimately flip Knight from the Irish. Ole Miss is also in the picture.
Knight has had a stellar offseason on the camp circuit, earning On3 MVP honors for both the OT7 Championship and the Elite 11 Finals.
On3 ranks Knight as the nation’s No. 4 quarterback and No. 28 prospect overall. The On3 Industry slots him at No. 7 and No. 33 nationally.
Auburn currently holds On3’s No. 6 ranked recruiting class in the 2025 cycle.
Why Knight has high interest in Auburn
The SEC. Sources with knowledge of the recruitment indicate that Knight is excited about potentially playing in that conference.
From Hugh Freeze to Kenyatta Watson and several other staffers in between, Knight has built a great rapport with the Tigers staff.
The trajectory of the Auburn program under this second-year staff. Knight will also have an opportunity to push for playing time in year one.
Auburn has recruited receivers at a high level under Freeze and Knight continued to build a rapport with them during his last visit to campus.
