USC DB commit Shamar Arnoux visits Auburn, says Tigers have a shot

AUBURN – Shamar Arnoux, a USC safety commit from Carrollton (Ga.), took in the Big Cat Weekend visit with his teammate, Zelus Hicks. He spent time with several other Tigers’ commits and targets.

“Oh, it went real good, you know,” Arnoux said. “Had a good time being around all the coaches and recruits. I was hanging out with Biggs (Tavaris Dice), Alvin (Henderson), Eric (Winters), and Tyler (Atkinson).”

Arnoux is the No. 497 overall player in the class of 2025, the No. 43 cornerback, and the No. 54 player in the state of Georgia. He committed to USC on June 26.

According to Arnoux, the Tigers are still in the running and were near the top when he committed to the Trojans.

“Definitely, Auburn was one of my top schools,” Arnoux said.

How close was Auburn? When asked if Auburn finished second for Arnoux, he responded, “yes sir.”

What stands out about Auburn?

“I just like the genuine love and the community,” Arnoux said. “Coach Crime, he’s the real deal,” he said.

Auburn added another defensive back to the mix with Blake Woodby on Saturday. The secondary class Auburn is putting together intrugues Arnoux.

“Yeah it is really good to see that, changing the program,” he said.
