FSU takes the lead for 4-star safety Ladarian Clardy
Pensacola (Fla.) Escambia safety Ladarian Clardy made his way to Tallahassee this weekend for his official visit to Florida State. He was at UCF last weekend for his first official visit. The Knights made a strong impression, the Seminoles made a significant move this weekend.
“After this weekend, they most definitely are back at the top of my list,” Clardy told On3. “What pushed them to the top was the love they showed. That, the way they run things, how me and coach Norvell’s bond got even better over the weekend put Florida State on top. Coach Norvell let me know that he really wants to coach me and get me to the next level.”
Clardy is set to visit Mississippi State next weekend, then Ole Miss on June 21. Miami will host him for an official visit in July, then the No. 197 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking will look to make his decision in August.
Florida State has a lot of what Clardy is looking for
Florida State has grabbed the momentum in this race.
When he makes a decision in the coming months, Clardy will look at different factors. The defensive scheme, player production and the chance to play early are on his list. Feeling wanted is too.
“Their message to me was that I’m a priority. They talked about how they could develop me on and the field to help me achieve my goal in the next three years.”
Clardy has visited Florida State around half a dozen times now. He has had a good time each visit and this official visit was no different.
“The biggest highlights for me were the meetings with the coaches, going to coach Norvell’s house to hang out and the cooking event where I was able to bond with the other recruits,” Clardy said.
