Kansas State standing out to Texas safety
While much of the focus is on Kansas State’s own camps during the month of June, mega camps are also important for K-State. Offers are handed out after seeing prospects at mega camps across the country. A recent offer after the TCU mega camp was made to Prosper, Texas safety Jayden Bradley.
“I was excited for real I used to dream of schools like this offering me and now that it has happened,” Bradley began. “I couldn’t be more blessed. Kansas State is one my top schools, if not the top school on my board.”
K-State defensive coordinator and safeties coach Joe Klanderman offered Bradley after the Wildcats’ coaches saw Bradley compete at the TCU camp.
“Klanderman was just very excited to call me, he sounds like a great guy. He kept it all the way real which I like in a coach,” he shared. “I can’t wait to get down there and meet him. Along with the rest of the staff.”
It may not be long before the Texas native visits Kansas State. He is working with Klanderman to schedule a visit. The rising senior is learning more about K-State.
“Kansas State is a great place to be, great culture, they have always had a great safety group in the locker room and a beautiful campus,” he noted.
The safety enjoys the 3-3-5 defense the Wildcats run defensively.
“I love the three-safety look. Every snap, great in coverage, also great to help with the run,” he pointed out. “K-State is recruiting me as their strong safety to help with pass and run. Like a hybrid safety.”
A few schools have risen to the top of the safety’s board.
“Kansas State, obviously, California, Houston, and Texas State. Those are the top right now. I go up to Texas A&M June 20th but before that, I’m going try to get up to Kansas State,” he revealed. “Just the coaches [have made them stand out.] It’s not really about the logo of the school it is about the coaches behind it that makes a difference.”
Bradley plans to commit to a school in late July or early August.
“I’m looking for just great school, great area, and knowing these coaches got me on and off the field stuff like that,” he concluded.
