Texas recruiting notes on UT camp invitees from #ZachKnowsOL’s Saturday clinic
Inside Texas was on hand at the #ForTheTrenches clinic put on by Zach Collins, an assistant at South Oak Cliff and an OL trainer in the DFW Area. As mentioned in Friday’s article, Collins trains Devin and Jordan Coleman, who announced their commitment to Texas yesterday evening.
There was a handful of young talented players on display Saturday morning, and a few guys who stood out. I’ll mention the guys who will be camping at Texas this summer.
Ayden Johnson, DT, Mount Pleasant (Texas) – 2026
The 6-foot-2, 305 pounder showed his strength during drills and 1-on-1’s. He was lifting guys up off their feet with one hand and moving them out the way. On bag drills, Johnson was pushing guys back 5 yards. He will camp at SMU on June 1 and then at Texas on June 8. He has heard from Kenny Baker who sent him the invite to the camp. Johnson is excited to work with Baker after seeing Texas multiple times during the spring.
Johnson is currently unranked.
Khalil Sanogo, OL, Mansfield (Texas) Legacy – 2026
Sanogo is hearing from plenty of programs and will camp at Texas on June 8. He’s a tall, long kid at 6-foot-5, 280 pounds who can really move his feet and uses a strong lower body to stop defender’s momentum.
Sanogo is unranked at the current juncture.
Sean Sherman, OL, McKinney (Texas) – 2028
We’re talking about a 2028 because Sherman already looks the part. He is super athletic and has the power and strength to compete with older guys on the edge or inside. He’s also a basketball player which speaks to his athletic ability to move his feet and stay in front of defenders. He will compete at the Texas camp June 8th. Teams already have an eye on him at an early age. Sherman has a great future ahead of him.
