Gators earn official visit from highly-regarded TE Andrew Olesh

One of the premier 2025 tight ends has locked in an official visit with the Florida Gators.

Andrew Olesh, the No. 79-ranked prospect with On3, tells Gators Online Florida will host him on June 7-9. We recently reported Florida and Missouri were batting for that final summer official visit.

Now, it’s official in favor of Billy Napier‘s program.

“UF will be that date. I wanted to break the news to (tight ends) coach (Russ) Callaway as a surprise today,” Olesh told Gators Online on Tuesday morning.

That bond with Callaway is one of the primary reasons why Florida is a finalist for the 4-star prospect. It started from afar but really strengthened once Olesh made his way to campus on April 2.

Also, not only did Olesh have Callaway brimming with joy on Tuesday, he was able to deliver the news in person when the Florida assistant dropped by Center Valley (Pa.) Southern Lehigh.

“The big thing about coach Callaway is he isn’t just a football coach,” Olesh told GO last Thursday. “He is a very personable guy and wants to know more about me and my family, therefore wants to be close with all of us. He’s not only just about football. It almost feels like family, you know?”

Last month’s visit altogether was a very strong experience for On3’s No. 3-ranked tight end.

“The most impressive part I’d say just from being there was their environment, the relationships I’ve built with the coaches, facilities, and their campus. A lot of great stuff going on down there,” said Olesh.

“I have a really good relationship with coach Callaway and like the way I can fit into their offensive scheme.”

Additional programs on the official visit schedule are Alabama (May 31), Penn State (June 14) and Michigan (June 21). The in-state Nittany Lions are trending in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
