Rusty’s Ramblings: Under-radar names for UGA in 2025 class

DawgsHQ brought introduced you to Cal Faulkner a few weeks back and told you that UGA had been recruiting him without a lot of people knowing about it. Receivers coach James Coley was in Lumpkin County on Friday to see him workout.

He will be at Georgia on the first day of camp this summer, if he backs up his tape with a workout, this recruitment could be over quickly. His stats on the season are crazy and he is close to 6-foot-3. I’m interested in how that goes. UGA likes him at receiver, some schools like him at safety.

*** Another under the radar name in Georgia for the class of 2025 is Sprayberry defensive back Mark Manfred. He is close to 6-3 and has offers from LSU, USC , Auburn and others. Georgia cornerbacks coach Donte Williams was there on Friday to watch him practice, he will also camp in early June in Athens, I am told.

*** I have gotten a couple of questions on Duke Johnson and UGA. He is committed to Alabama and Glenn Schumann was by his school earlier this week. I still do not see UGA offering at this time. They have been in front of him several times and have not done it yet. Never say never, but it looks like UGA is going in another direction in my opinion.
