Rusty’s Ramblings: Georgia QB recruiting and transfer portal

Georgia could be little more than 24 hours away from getting its quarterback in the 2025 class.

Chad Simmons mentioned yesterday that Ryan Montgomery is starting to trend to Georgia and few hours later most had predicted him land in Athens. Georgia recruited him and like with Ryan Puglisi, (taking two last year), they were up front in their communications with him and his family.

If Georgia gets him on Wednesday, and I would predict that as of this morning, I will have a few behind the scenes notes on it.

Georgia will also be looking to add another QB via the portal over the next two weeks. Again, the Bulldogs aren’t going to pursue just anyone. A lot will depend on the quarterbacks available. I think they will find one. Kirby Smart has openly stated that he wants four and he wants someone with at least some experience at the collegiate level.

I think Georgia will continue to recruit JuJu Lewis and I will be looking to see if he still plans to take an official visit to Athens if UGA gets Montgomery.
