2026 quarterback Braylen Williams takes break from record-breaking season to visit Ole Miss

2026 Nettleton (Miss.) quarterback Braylen Williams has gotten his sophomore season off to a fast start. And with two more cycles to go, his recruitment has plenty of time to ramp up. For now, he holds just one offer from Akron. But Ole Miss is showing interest.

Coordinator of recruiting strategy Kelvin Bolden and offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. have shown interest in the 6-foot-2, 180 pound prospect. And on Saturday, Williams will make a return trip to Oxford, Miss., for No. 16 Ole Miss’ SEC West game against Arkansas.

This season, the sophomore signal caller has already thrown for 1,306 yards and 15 touchdowns in six games, helping Nettleton get off to a 5-1 start. He’s also been a menace with his legs, running for 603 yards and eight more touchdowns.

Braylen Williams has taken several trips in 2023.

There has not been an offer extended, but Williams has been to Tennessee, Mississippi State, Southern Miss and Ole Miss this spring and summer. This weekend’s visit to Oxford will be the first since his trip in April. The Rebels’ quarterback room is as dynamic as any in the country. And Williams’ game is one which intrigues the Ole Miss staff.

In the last two weeks, Williams has thrown for 681 yards and 10 touchdowns. He’s a true dual-threat recruit as well, running for 100+ yards in four games in 2023.
