Georgia is quickly becoming a contender for 2025 RB Bo Walker

Georgia is quickly becoming a contender for 2025 RB Bo Walker

Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove 2025 running Bo Walker has taken a strong liking to Georgia in the last month.

The Bulldogs offered the Cedar Grove star back on Sept. 9. On Sept. 10, he cut his list down to a top six. Walker included Georgia alongside Arkansas, Louisville, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and UCF.

Georgia is high even among the top six despite being a newer program in Walker’s recruitment. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Georgia out front at the moment. The Bulldogs have a 96.4 percent chance of landing Walker according to RPM.

“Georgia sits top three for me,” Walker said.

It didn’t take long for Georgia to make an impression on Walker. He got on campus twice after the offer. He attended Georgia’s game against South Carolina on Sept. 9, the day he got the offer and the UAB game on Sept. 23.

There are multiple reasons Georgia stands out. The first Walker mentions is fit, on and off the field.

“It’s a good fit for me, I feel like that would be home if I decided to go there,” Walker said. “I’m looking at how the scheme throws the ball to running back out of the backfield. I want to go to a school that’s going to help me on and off the field and with life after football.”

Walker has grown close with Georgia running back coach Dell McGee. McGee talks with Walker’s grandmother weekly.

For Walker, McGee feels like more than a position coach.

“I’ve talked to coach McGee about how I could have a mentor off the field,” Walker said.

Bo Walker already logging good experiences in Athens

The two visits have left impressions on Walker as well.

“The UAB game was a good experience because we had like four players from Cedar Grove playing,” Walker said.

Walker has a strong connection with two current Bulldogs who were former Cedar Grove stars.

He’s spoken to his former teammates Christian Miller and CJ Madden about Georgia. Both are in their redshirt freshman seasons in Athens. Walker played alongside that duo as a freshman at Cedar Grove.

Walker has heard their pitches.

“We talk almost every week, as soon as I got the offer, they were like ‘it’s home’,” Walker said.

Walker is working toward a conclusion in his recruitment. He wants to take a few more visits over the next few months before he makes a decision.

“I’m thinking maybe like December,” Walker said. “I’m going to go to a few more games and try to make the offensive schemes are what I like.”
