Big Ten Best Bets

Week one in college football wagering means you learn a lot, but as a friend of mine says, don’t learn too much. His point is don’t overreact too much to what you saw.

Case in point on a national level, is Colorado really good or did they just have one of those days? The number for their game this week against Nebraska, who lost by three at Minnesota, seems too low based on the results on Saturday. Basically, right now that number smells fishy.

In the Bet Rivers contest, awful start. Our Hawkeye Report message board bet of Central Michigan was a loser. My only win of the weekend was betting on future Big Ten member Washington. South Alabama, Colorado State, and a desperate two team play of UCLA/North Texas were losers. 1-4, not good, but a lot of time to make up ground.
