Kirk Ferentz updates sports gambling issues

Kirk Ferentz is equally not overwhelmingly concerned about how the NCAA will resolve the issues with sports gambling within the Iowa football program, while still worried that this has not yet been resolved.

While he hopes that the sports gambling situation for Iowa athletics will be figured out before the start of the college football season, Ferentz is well aware that he doesn’t control then those decisions will come down.

Before heading back to Iowa City, Ferentz spent time with the Iowa media to discuss what he knows about the sports gambling issues with his team. He talks about how he doesn’t know when it will be decided and how badly starting defensive tackle Noah Shannon felt when he withdrew from representing the Hawkeyes at Big Ten Media Day, and if he has yet to try an Iowa Swarm beer.
