4-star CB Chris Ewald has a change of plans in his visit schedule

Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade Madonna four-star cornerback Chris Ewald flip-flopped his official visit to Georgia he has confirmed to DawgsHQ.

The No. 161 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings was expected in Athens for an official visit on Friday. Ewald did not make the trip. He has rescheduled the official visit to Georgia for June 21.

Georgia has had a heavy presence in Ewald’s recruitment since he decommitted from Michigan back on January 15.

Ewald visited Georgia back in February. He has a strong prior relationship with Georgia co-defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson from his days at Miami and Alabama. Ewald also has a strong connection with Georgia defensive backs coach Donte Williams.

“That’s game-changing. He recruited me when he was at Bama and Miami. Him and Coach Donte [Williams] is an elite combo,” Ewald told DawgsHQ upon finding out the news back in February.

Georgia’s winning culture is also a major factor for Ewald.

“It was my first individual trip to Athens. They want to be elite at everything they do that stood out to me because I value the same morals,” he said to Reuse. “I understand why they’re always competing for a Natty year in and year out. They won back-to-back. I think they have the best coaching staff with the addition of Coach T-Rob, Coach Donte Williams, and Coach Kirby Smart.”

Georgia was among Ewald’s top six schools released back on April 22. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine favors the hometown program.

Miami has an 86.4 percent chance of landing the four-star cornerback according to RPM.
