2026 SG Dezhon Hall visits Michigan State
Michigan State welcomed class of 2026 shooting guard Dezhon Hall, of Indianapolis (IN) Pike High School over the weekend of Sept. 23. It was the first visit to East Lansing for Hall. The 6-foot-3 guard holds early offers from Illinois and IUPUI.
“The Director of Recruiting Jon Borovich and Coach Doug Wojcik, they have been recruiting me,” Hall told SpartanMag.com. ”They have a great basketball program and coaching staff so I was interested.
“The history speaks for itself. Also, the coaching staff is amazing and Michigan State produces NBA prospects almost every year.”
When on campus, Hall and his family toured the Michigan State campus before working out with the team.
“I toured the campus and facilities,” Hall said. “Played in an open gym with the guys and held my own so that was pretty cool. Then after we went to the tailgate and after that was the football game.”
“It was lit,” Hall said of the football game. “My family and I had a great time. We can’t wait to go back. One of the main things that stood out was students were coming up to me telling me how Michigan State was such a great school and how I should attend.
Hall was already familiar with freshman point guard Jeremy Fears, using the open gym to get to know the rest of the team.
“I already knew Jermey Fears I’ve known him for a long time,” Hall said. “We played on the same team during the open gym. He was just telling me a lot about Michigan State. Then I also got to talk to Coen (Carr) and AJ (Hoggard) so that was dope as well.”
While Hall is not on campus, he is mainly in contact with Michigan State assistant Doug Wojick.
“He is a great guy,” Hall said. ”I loved the whole staff. He showed my family and I around so it was cool.” we
Hall was also impressed with Spartan head coach Tom Izzo.
“I think Coach Izzo is a pretty cool coach,” Hall said. ”He seems hands on with hands on with his players. From watching how he coaches the players I like his coaching style.”
Hall averaged 12.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game for the Indy Heat 15U team over the summer. The 2026 guard will play under former NBA star Jeff Teague at Pike High School.
