2025 QB Colton Gumino locks in official visit to UCLA
Quarterback is a big need this recruiting cycle for UCLA. The Bruins already have one of the nation’s best in the fold in On300 passer Madden Iamaleava.
Head coach DeShaun Foster and his staff are looking for one more.
Sights are set on one of the Midwest’s top passers on Elmhurst (Ill.) John Hersey standout Colton Gumino. He made it out to campus in April and tells On3 he will take his official visit to Westwood the weekend of June 21.
“I really want to play at a high level!” Gumino said. “I want to go to school I can compete and learn football! I think Coach Foster has changed UCLA and it’s a exciting place! Coach (Eric) B(ienemy) is a tough OC and has high expectations and I like that style of coaching.”
Florida is the other program in the mix for the 6-foot-2, 192-pound Gumino.
“They offered me a PWO for now until they see another kid throw!” Gumino said. “It’s a SEC school so that’s exciting. I think I might go on a official next weekend, talking to the head coach (Saturday).
“I told the coaches I have no problem competing and I don’t care about NIL money , just want to learn and play.”
As a junior Gumino completed 72 percent of his passes for 2,500 yards and 32 touchdowns.
