Xavier Nwankpa ready for the next step

After getting his first start in the bowl game and scoring on a pick six, safety Xavier Nwankpa is ready to take the next step as a sophomore.

At media day, Nwankpa discussed the work he has put in whether it is on the field, during off-season training, or studying in the film room as he prepares for his first full season as a starter.

Also, he talked about the charity softball game he homered in, playing with some of his teammates against Iowa State, as they worked together to help raise more than $200,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
