Aaron Bradshaw<\/a> arrived in Lexington<\/a> as one of the most-coveted recruits<\/a> in this year\u2019s freshman class<\/a> at Kentucky<\/a><\/strong>. He is also now its biggest mystery due to a foot injury<\/a> that will likely keep him sidelined until closer to the start of the college basketball season.<\/p>\n

Still, once healthy, the Wildcats expect his presence to be felt immediately on the court considering they currently feel it off of the floor. Both Reed Sheppard<\/a> and DJ Wagner<\/a> made that point about Bradshaw while speaking to media<\/a> ahead of the Wildcat\u2019s trip to play in the GLOBL JAM<\/a> next week.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a><\/span>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAaron\u2019s a great dude, off the court and on the court. He brings a different type of energy. He\u2019s going to play his hardest every game and bring everything that he has,\u201d Sheppard said<\/a>. \u201cA great shot blocker. He can just make plays. He\u2019s really good at just bringing energy and being a goofy guy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wagner, Bradshaw\u2019s teammate at Camden High School<\/a> in New Jersey, echoed similar sentiments about the seven footer considering what he bring to the table as a talented player and as an overall teammate himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s gonna have a great impact. Just (with) how good of a great player he is and a great teammate he is. He\u2019s still making an impact,\u201d Wagner said. \u201cHe\u2019s being a great teammate and supporting all of us. So we\u2019re definitely excited for him to come back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJust the type of player he is. Just opening up the floor and stuff like that for us. Most definitely. Because he\u2019s a great player<\/a>. So everybody who\u2019s on the court is a threat. All of us,\u201d said Wagner. \u201cThat\u2019s how I see it. Just opening up the floor, just making the game a lot easier for all of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bradshaw is Kentucky\u2019s second-highest rated recruit coming out of the 2023 class<\/a> behind only Justin Edwards<\/a>. As a prospect, he\u2019s a five-star and the No. 4 player in On3\u2019s Industry Ranking<\/a>. That\u2019s on top of being the No. 1 center<\/a> and best player out of New Jersey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Even so, a reported foot fracture<\/a> will sideline him for UK\u2019s trip to Toronto and for the foreseeable future of the offseason. With that said, Bradshaw himself said that he will be back for anyone knows it<\/a> while John Calipari is pleased with his efforts toward getting healthy<\/a> by the time the season tips off.<\/p>\n

Kentucky fans are a little shaken about the whole thing<\/a> considering mysterious injuries that have burned them in the past. However, no one believes that that\u2019s going to be the case with Bradshaw, especially considering their glowing remarks from Sheppard and Wagner.<\/p>\n
