One of the hardest transitions to make for many professional athletes is the move from the court or the playing field to retirement, but Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen<\/a><\/strong> already has a pretty good idea how he plans to live once he hangs up the cleats.<\/p>\n

And you might not see much of the star quarterback once he calls it a career.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly I think about this all the time, like especially after I\u2019m done playing, which hopefully isn\u2019t for another 10-15 years, whatever it is,\u201d Allen said on the Bussin\u2019 with the Boys<\/em> podcast<\/a>. \u201cI kind of want to do the Tim Duncan<\/a><\/strong> route. I\u2019m just going to disappear. I don\u2019t want to be too much in the spotlight. I\u2019m a homebody.\u201d<\/p>\n

As a quarterback, Josh Allen is one of the most productive players in the NFL. He has been named to multiple Pro Bowls in his career already, while leading the Bills to the playoffs in each of the last four years.<\/p>\n

Buffalo reached the AFC Championship under Allen\u2019s watch during the 2020 campaign.<\/p>\n

So before he hangs up the cleats, Allen would surely like to finish things off in style by pushing all the way through to a Super Bowl appearance, hopefully winning a ring in the process. He\u2019s still got plenty of time to do that, headed into his fifth year in the league in 2023.<\/p>\n

Still, he\u2019s had time to think about life after football.<\/p>\n

\u201cTraveling is one thing I definitely want to do. I\u2019ve only been across the pond once, when I went to Monaco for the Grand Prix, which was really freaking cool,\u201d Allen said. \u201cI was there for two and a half, three days, then bounced right back to Buffalo. I haven\u2019t spent much time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to go to Ireland, Scotland, play some golf courses there. I really want to go to Japan. I\u2019ve never been there. (For) the food, I\u2019m a big sushi guy. And like the architecture there is really cool. It seems super futuristic with the technology they\u2019ve got. So I think that would be pretty cool, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allen noted his desire to play golf in the future, too. It\u2019s something he\u2019s already very passionate about.<\/p>\n

Rather than represent as the Buffalo Bills quarterback, Josh Allen turned down a 2022 Pro Bowl invite to play in the 2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. He finished 55th out of 156 while paired with professional golfer Keith Mitchell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Allen also played in \u2018The Match\u2019 in a pairing with Patrick Mahomes<\/a><\/strong>, playing against Tom Brady<\/a><\/strong> and Aaron Rodgers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve vowed to myself that I\u2019m going to play the top 100 courses in the world, and I\u2019ve got 10 down,\u201d Allen said. \u201cYou could do one on the Hamptons trip and knock out three or four. But Australia, sneaky good golf. There\u2019s like five or six in the top 100, so if you make a trip out there I\u2019d probably spend two or three weeks out there and just try to go to all of them and knock them all out. And my brother-in-law is from Australia, the Gold Coast, so I\u2019ve got to get out there.\u201d<\/p>\n
