GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA \u2014 Not many 2026 prospects have an offer list comparable to the one belonging to James Morrow<\/a><\/strong>. But not many have his frame either.<\/p>\n

Thus far, the likes of Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Michigan, Penn State and Texas A&M all have offered.<\/p>\n

On the day of Florida\u2019s Friday Night Lights camp (June 23), the Gators joined the offer club while Morrow was in town to give the program a first-hand look. He\u2019s a 6-foot-4, 230-pound edge\/outside backer from Buford (Ga.).<\/p>\n

According to Morrow, it was a great visit.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter seeing how they\u2019re very family oriented and how their players treat recruits as family it just says something to me about the new organization and how Coach (Billy) Napier<\/a><\/strong> coaches this team,\u201d Morrow said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Gators edge\/outside backers coach Mike Peterson<\/a><\/strong>, who played at Florida and then several years in the NFL, spent lots of time around Morrow during the recruit\u2019s visit and made a good impression on him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s just an awesome guy,\u201d Morrow said. \u201cTreated me like family from the first time we met. Just every time you see him, he\u2019s screaming your name, \u2018Hey, what\u2019s up? How you doing?\u2019 Just checking on you and seeing how you\u2019re doing during the visit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, Morrow already plans to return to Gainesville. He even has a date: July 29.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll be here for the cookout,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That Florida invited Morrow to that event speaks to the level of respect colleges have for him. Most of the invitees are expected to be in the 2024 and 2025 classes.<\/p>\n

Although it\u2019s early in his recruitment, Morrow has seen enough from Florida to know it\u2019s a school that will have a seat at the table.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would say Florida\u2019s definitely going to be there down the road,\u201d Morrow said. \u201cJust seeing how they treated me and how they treated my guest. Because, every recruiting lady isn\u2019t going to come up to you. But at Florida, everybody just supported you with love. And they\u2019re glad you\u2019re here. And they\u2019re excited about the future with you.\u201d<\/p>\n
