Georgia holds the commitment of one of Cartersville, Georgia\u2019s best in Cass High wideout Sacovie White<\/a><\/strong>, but the Dawgs aren\u2019t stopping when it comes to evaluating the Colonels. That was made clear with a recent offer to 2026 offensive lineman Kail Ellis<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was surreal. Working with one of the best in the nation, Coach [Stacy] Searels, and seeing the facilities, atmosphere, and family feel at UGA was an amazing experience,\u201d Ellis said following his stop with the Bulldogs for camp.<\/p>\n

The news of the offer was similarly hard for Ellis to wrap his head around.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe called my coach after camp and told him the news. Coach [Searels] also said to continue to work hard\u2026It was unreal,\u201d he said. \u201cGetting that opportunity from a school like Georgia is surreal.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ability to be up close and personal with Georgia\u2019s offensive line coach isn\u2019t an opportunity that will be leaving Ellis any time soon either.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a great experience. Coach Searels is a very experienced and knowledgeable coach,\u201d he said. \u201cHe has a great connection with his players, as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, being in-state and seeing what the Dawgs have done recently doesn\u2019t hurt early on either.<\/p>\n

\u201cUGA has always been a school in mind because of how close it is to me,\u201d Ellis said. \u201cWhen I think of Georgia, I think of winning. It\u2019s pretty simple, but that\u2019s what they do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, it\u2019s early on for the rising sophomore, and there\u2019s more checking out to do.<\/p>\n

\u201cOklahoma is far, but that is one school I would love to visit,\u201d he said. \u201cNo more visits this summer that I know of yet, but I will most definitely catch a game (at Georgia) this fall.\u201d<\/p>\n

And when that time comes, he knows what he\u2019ll be looking for.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving a family feel with the coaches is big to me and recovery is huge for me as well. Also, the playing atmosphere on game days,\u201d Ellis said.<\/p>\n

Kail Ellis is a 6-foot-3, 275-pound interior offensive lineman.<\/p>\n
