[Join Inside Texas today and get the best Texas Longhorns insider team info and recruiting intel!]<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n There will be ups, like Daniel Cruz\u2019s pledge yesterday evening, and downs, like the news that long shot OT candidate Daniel Calhoun is likely staying home in his native Georgia.<\/p>\n But that\u2019s what you get when you are in these highly competitive recruiting battles, whether it\u2019s an in-state prospect or out of state.<\/p>\n With relatively few exceptions, Texas is now locked in battles with national powers for almost every recruit remaining on the board.<\/p>\n That\u2019s a good thing, right?<\/p>\n That\u2019s what you want. The best players available.<\/p>\n But it also means to expect twists and turns as other teams covet those same prospects.<\/p>\n Right now, Texas is poised to land another stellar class. I have no doubt about that. But I also know it\u2019s going to be a roller coaster to get there.<\/p>\n **<\/p>\n Kyle Flood continues to be perhaps the best OL recruiter I\u2019ve witnessed at Texas.
