Well, last night was the NFL Draft, and of course we had you covered with the Cam Ward No. 1 pick. So read all about that, including Gary Ferman\u2019s column. We also break down how Miami doesn\u2019t just have numbers in its NFL Draft history, but also quality.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t miss what Carson Beck is talking about, either, as he is rehabbing off injury and preparing for a big season.<\/p>\n

We also continue to closely monitor the transfer portal news and update you as things develop, so check out where things stand there with visits ongoing. Are we too focused on getting a stud WR? <\/a>\u2026 Posted by OakCane<\/a><\/p>\n

So much of the talk the past two yrs has been about getting that \u201cstud\u201d WR. I think it\u2019s a reasonable argument to say forget about getting another portal WR, let the guys we got play, and put the bulk of our NIL resources toward the defense.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s interesting looking at the playoff teams last yr. The majority of them didn\u2019t have that stud WR. Ped state,ND, Clemson, SMU, ASU, Georgia, Oregon, Indiana, Tenn\u2026none of these teams had that guy at WR.<\/p>\n

So, do we really need that guy?<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously it was not in the script or plan, but I feel like God has a plan for everything He does, and ultimately it comes to fruition for A, B, or C reasons. Even after my injury, it wasn\u2019t in my thoughts to go back to college. We ultimately came to the conclusion that returning to college was the best idea for me. Going to a new place with new people and new coaches\u2014kind of revitalizing everything\u2014created new and good energy for me and my mental space, and ultimately, I do think it was the best decision for me.\u201d<\/p>\n
