How much of a priority is 2026 quarterback target Nathan Bernhard? He\u2019s high up there, and offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Chip Lindsey proved it by visiting him on the first day of the spring evaluation period Tuesday. Bernhard recently picked up a Michigan offer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m extremely interested in Michigan,\u201d Bernhard said. \u201cI\u2019ll just have to see how these next couple days and weeks develop. I think they\u2019re really high up there for me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The nation\u2019s No. 31 quarterback from Ashland (Ohio) High is nearing a decision after visiting the Wolverines last week. Indiana, Maryland and Ohio State are the main Power Four schools in contact with him these days. James Madison and App State also have his attention.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

He\u2019s ready to wrap up the recruiting process and only wants to take one official visit. Bernhard will not stop by Michigan again before making his college choice.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t have a specific date, but I\u2019d like to get it done\u2014I wouldn\u2019t say ASAP\u2014but fairly quickly here,\u201d Bernhard said. \u201cIf I could get committed, definitely before the summer, that would be nice.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
