New York City is playing host on Monday night to one of the biggest nights on the WNBA calendar. The 2025 WNBA Draft will take place from The Shed. Players are all set to hear their names called by commissioner Cathy Engelbert but first, their outfits are getting some love.<\/p>\n

Aneesah Morrow<\/a><\/strong> is no different. One of LSU<\/a><\/strong>\u2018s top players during the 2024-2205 season, Morrow showed up to the WNBA Draft in a leather dress and jacket combination. Add in a purse and Morrow is looking \u201clike a million dollars,\u201d according to the league\u2019s official X account.<\/p>\n

There should not be too long of a wait for Morrow once the draft begins. ESPN\u2019s latest WNBA mock draft has Morrow going fifth overall to the Golden State Valkyries. She will be joining the league\u2019s brand new expansion franchise in what will be Golden State\u2019s first-ever draft selection.<\/p>\n

Morrow was one of the more decerated players in women\u2019s basketball during his collegiate times. Spending two years at DePaul<\/a><\/strong> and another two in Baton Rouge, Morrow was a three-time AP All-American. Twice was she named second-team and earned third-team honors as a sophomore.<\/p>\n

This past season saw Morrow lead college basketball in rebounding, averaging 13.5 boards per game. Double-doubles were nearly automatic for her too, recording 30 throughout LSU\u2019s 36 games played. WNBA teams will love her offensive efficiency, as she has shot a career-high 49% from the field.<\/p>\n

\u201cMorrow made just 24 3-pointers in her two years in Baton Rouge, but the 53 she knocked down as a sophomore at DePaul show they can be part of her repertoire at the pro level,\u201d ESPN\u2019s Michael Voepel said<\/a> in the mock draft.<\/p>\n

Three NCAA Tournament appearances are on the resume for Morrow. One with Depaul and playing in just one game. Dayton<\/a><\/strong> bounced them from the First Four as the Blue Demons never made it into the official field.<\/p>\n

Once transferring to LSU, a little more success followed. Morrow was a key part in two teams that made runs to the Elite Eight. She was a major part in the 2024 edition, averaging 20.8 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in four games.<\/p>\n
