Thankfully, Sheldon Creed was able to leave the infield care center and speak to the media after his horrifying wreck with Brennan Poole. Creed\u2019s car almost had the entire front end ripped off. His NASCAR <\/a>rival, Poole, lost the entire passenger side of his car. <\/p>\n

Both of these drivers are out of the race, out of the care center, and hopefully, no worse for wear. Sheldon Creed and Brennan Poole both got the air knocked out of them<\/a>. How could they not, with the violent hit they took? <\/p>\n

On The CW, Creed talked about the wreck.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel fine. Knocked the air out of me for a second,\u201d Creed said. \u201cI mean, the 27 [Jeb Burton] was the lucky dog at the moment, and he was doing really good job holding on to that. Was just trying to play with things. I was fairly free at the moment, just trying to search and seeing the 17 [Larson] diamond when he was lapping us, and I felt like it worked pretty good. So, I went and tried to start working that into my line, and I was just trying to work around the [27]. I don\u2019t know. The 26 got me a few times by then and then just got me enough there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Haas Factory Team driver was asked about what went through his mind. At first, he thought he had made it out just fine. A little spin at Bristol, no big deal. Then, the 44 car came out of nowhere. <\/p>\n

\u201cNo, when the first guy missed me, I was like, \u2018Oh, I might not get hit at all.\u2019 And then, I just got hit,\u201d Creed explained. \u201cSo, it just happened. \u2026 I mean, for Brennan\u2019s sake, just, it happens quick and I was sitting right there in the middle of the track. So, what do you do?\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheldon Creed having solid season<\/h2>\n

This is the third team in three years for Sheldon Creed. He went from Richard Childress to Joe Gibbs to now, Haas. Chevy, Toyota, Ford. A lot of threes for Creed, don\u2019t you think? This season has been good for him so far, but he wants more. <\/p>\n

Two DNFs this year, but only one P2 finish. I\u2019m sure he\u2019s sick of being runner-up at this point. Today was going to be a good day for Creed. He had worked his way up to a position fighting for the lucky dog. It isn\u2019t his fault that Kyle Larson lapped everyone besides the top-13 in the race before the caution. <\/p>\n

Sheldon Creed is going to live to fight another day. He remarked how happy he was to be okay, and you can\u2019t blame him. That was a scary wreck. <\/p>\n
