Practice for Friday\u2019s Weather Guard Truck Race at Bristol Motor Speedway has been delayed due to rain. NASCAR<\/a><\/strong> will set the field\u00a0with a Performance Metrics Based Line-Up if practice and qualifying can\u2019t get underway.<\/p>\n

The forecast for Friday night at Bristol calls for a 90% chance of rain, per The Weather Channel<\/a><\/em>: \u201cCloudy with occasional rain\u2026 mainly this evening. Thunder possible. Low 38F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 90%.\u201d<\/p>\n

Truck Series teams do have wet-weather tires to race in damp but not rainy conditions, per Bob Pockrass<\/strong> of FOX Sports<\/em><\/a>. The forecast looks much better for Saturday\u2019s Sport Clips Haircuts VFW Help a Hero 200 Xfinity Series race. <\/p>\n

Truck Series at Bristol: Daniel Hemric coming off first win<\/h2>\n

This will be the sixth Truck race of the season and the first since March 28 at Martinsville. Daniel Hemric<\/strong> took the checkered flag for the first Truck victory of his career.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe found a way there at the end,\u201d Hemric said<\/a> after the win. \u201cI wanted to race Tyler [Ankrum]<\/strong>, I know we have a long season ahead. I wanted to race as clean as I could. But I\u2019ve walked out of here twice thinking there\u2019s a missing spot in my dining room for a clock, so it\u2019s cool to get one here. To have Mike<\/strong> and Paula<\/strong> with Gates Hydraulics here, their first race with me. This truck is now three-for-three here, this exact same chassis. <\/p>\n
