Oregon returns two quarterbacks this season that feel they are vying for the starting position. One that is easily missed in the talk about quarterbacks is Austin Novosad<\/a><\/strong>. So far he\u2019s been a back up for the Ducks behind Bo Nix <\/a><\/strong>and Dillon Gabriel<\/a><\/strong> but might push Dante Moore<\/a><\/strong> this season.<\/p>\n

Of course we won\u2019t know the answer to that until the Ducks take the field in late August but that\u2019s at least how it\u2019s being presented to us now.<\/p>\n

Novosad met with media on Tuesday to talk about Spring ball and preparing for this season. He was also asked about his growth and freshman receiver Dakorien Moore<\/a><\/strong>. Here are the top highlights from his presser earlier this week.<\/p>\n

On Spring Prep: <\/h2>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been the same all three years, elevate your game in the offseason. This Spring just leading the team, the offense has been a big thing for me. Your just out there trying to execute at the highest level.\u201d<\/p>\n

On relationship with Dante\/QB Room:<\/h2>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been super good. That whole room is pretty close. We go out there and help each other when we need to and compete. It\u2019s been great.\u201d <\/p>\n

Learning from Bo\/Dillon:<\/h2>\n

\u201cJust seeing Dillon and Bo, both were completely different quarterbacks. But one thing that was the same was the preparation. They executed at a really high level.\u201d<\/p>\n

On fit for Offense:<\/h2>\n

\u201cThe pro-style, taking shots when needed, but also the RPO game. Coming from my high school to here was very similar.<\/p>\n

On Growth:<\/h2>\n

\u201cMy execution and my leadership of the offense. Now being able to take a play call from coach Stein and executing it at a high level.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Dakorien Moore:<\/h2>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a freak for sure. He runs very explosive routes. He\u2019s going to make lots of plays for us the years he\u2019s here.\u201d<\/p>\n
