Now, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/her\/news\/uconn-blows-out-south-carolina-en-route-to-paige-bueckers-first-national-title\/\">with UConn winning their twelfth national title<\/a> on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/college\/connecticut-huskies\/news\/geno-auriemma-paige-bueckers-cut-down-the-nets-after-uconn-wins-2025-ncaa-tournament\/\">Sunday<\/a>, Vanessa Bryant knows how happy her daughter would have been.<\/p>\n<p>After their 82-59 victory over <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/south-carolina-gamecocks\/\">South Carolina<\/a><\/strong> to win <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/her\/news\/2025-ncaa-womens-basketball-tournament-updated-matchups-results-schedule-tv\/\">the 2025 Women\u2019s NCAA Tournament<\/a> in Tampa, Bryant posted the team\u2019s image on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/vanessabryant\/?hl=en\">her story on Instagram<\/a>. She captioned it by saying how glad that Gigi would\u2019ve been to see it with a quote from her late child.<\/p>\n<p>Screenshot<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGigi would\u2019ve loved being there with you. \u2018When you think you can\u2019t, UConn\u2019 \u2013 Gianna Bryant,\u201d Bryant wrote on IG. \u201cCongratulations @genoauriemma @uconnwbb\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bryant was a known fan of the Huskies in his thirteen years before her tragic passing along with her father, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/kobe-bryant-75522\/\">Kobe Bryant<\/a>. At the time back in 2020, Connecticut honored her with a memorial on their bench during an exhibition between them and Team USA.
