Luke Stout<\/strong> and Mac Stout<\/strong> are contenders for the All-American podium at the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships this season. Both at 197 pounds, the brothers are seeded No. 11 and 6, respectively.<\/p>\n

Luke Stout, who won the inaugural Ivy League 197 bracket for Princeton <\/strong><\/a>during conference weekend, may be seeded lower than his brother, but could see him in the second round. Mac Stout won the ACC title for Pittsburgh<\/strong><\/a> and could be a dark horse on the lower half of the 33-man bracket.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s the second round matchup that could be more fascinating if they both win Thursday morning. In our On3 NCAA Wrestling predictions<\/strong><\/a>, we have Mac Stout beating brother Luke in the second round and then again in the 7th place match. But both will be All-Americans by our estimation.<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cA lot of people have asked us about (possibly facing off),\u201d Luke Stout said, via NJ Advance Media.<\/a> \u201cWe\u2019ve joked around about it and said we\u2019ll cross that bridge if we get there. I think we would have settled for it if it was the semifinals or finals, but we always said it\u2019s out of our control.\u201d<\/p>\n

Funny enough, the Stout brothers have not crossed paths in college. It\u2019s almost happened, but Thursday night could be must-see TV.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was kind of this dramatic thing, he made a sad face and I said let me guess,\u201d Mac told NJ.com\u2019s Bill Evans<\/a>. \u201c(Luke\u2019s) my best friend. We text every day. When I found out Wednesday night, a little bit later I texted him and it was pretty normal. Just like how many comments have you gotten?<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it\u2019s not awkward, there\u2019s no bad blood. It\u2019s just a situation. We both have much higher values in the sport. We always said we can\u2019t control it. It\u2019s out of our hands. If it happens, it happens. Nothing changes between us. It is what it is, and we didn\u2019t think about it. It\u2019s actually a miracle it took so long to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mac Stout is 23-2 this season, qualifying for NCAAs for the second straight year. He finished in the Round of 16 for Pitt last season. Mac is 45-10 in his career (two varsity seasons).<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Luke Stout just qualified for NCAAs for the fourth time in his illustrious Princeton career. Although, he has yet to reach the All-American podium as well. He\u2019s 14-2 this season and 72-38 for his career.<\/p>\n

The 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships begin Thursday 12:00 p.m. ET in Philadelphia. The tournament runs through Saturday night, dubbed \u201cthe best three days in March.\u201d<\/p>\n
