After three straight losses, two by no more than a possession, Nebraska<\/strong><\/a> is back on the bubble and at risk of missing the NCAA Tournament. That\u2019s why the Cornhuskers must now make the most of this final week in the regular season<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fred Hoiberg<\/a> discussed where the \u2018Huskers stand following their 67-65 loss at home to<\/a> Minnesota<\/strong><\/a> on Saturday. That\u2019s with his team having to come back from 19 down before a three-pointer with four seconds left won it for the Golden Gophers in Lincoln.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat urgency has got to be there from, from the jump. I mean, there\u2019s too much at stake right now<\/a>,\u201d Hoiberg said<\/a>. \u201cYou know, I thought our practice yesterday was unbelievable \u2013 but who cares, you know? You\u2019ve got to carry that over to the game.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I\u2019m sick. You know, I\u2019m sick,\u201d said Hoiberg. \u201cI\u2019m absolutely sick on just how that whole thing played out.\u201d<\/p>\n

With that, Nebraska fell to 17-12 overall<\/a> and 7-11 in the Big Ten having lost four of five. That has them among the final seeds in the conference with there still being a chance, depending on the results of this week, that they don\u2019t make the Big Ten Tournament<\/a>. They\u2019ve also slid down to be the second-from-last team in the field for ESPN\u2019s Joe Lunardi in his latest edition of Bracketology<\/a> while On3\u2019s James Fletcher<\/a> has them out of the field among the Next Four Out in his latest projection<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Cornhuskers now have two games left this week at Ohio State<\/strong><\/a> and against Iowa<\/strong><\/a> to, one, ensure they\u2019re in next week\u2019s bracket in Indianapolis and, two, boost themselves back off the brink of the bubble before Selection Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, for us, we\u2019ve got two more opportunities to put the uniform on, guaranteed. After that, there\u2019s nothing for certain at this point. So, you know, we\u2019ve got to bounce back tomorrow,\u201d said Hoiberg. \u201cWe can\u2019t let this one affect what\u2019s going to happen Tuesday night in a quick turnaround. But we need to have two great days here heading into the rematch against Ohio State on their home floor<\/a> and throw everything we\u2019ve got at them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, we\u2019re running out of chances, we\u2019re running out of bullets so, you know, big couple days ahead,\u201d Hoiberg said.<\/p>\n
