It was announced Wednesday afternoon that Kentucky Baseball\u2019s season opening series at Lipscomb will open with a doubleheader on Friday due to projected rain in the area. There will now be no game on Saturday, with the series finale still taking place on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Our season opening weekend now will feature a doubleheader on FRIDAY beginning at 1 pm ET\/noon CT at Lipscomb. Both games will be 9-inning contests. There will be no game Saturday and Sunday\u2019s game remains as scheduled. pic.twitter.com\/8jv1sBHx9V<\/a><\/p>\n

Although Friday will feature a doubleheader, both games will still be nine-inning contests. Get ready for 18 innings of Kentucky Baseball to open the season Wildcat fans.<\/p>\n

Senior right-hander Nic McCay<\/a><\/strong> will start for Kentucky in game one, while sophomore left-hander Ben Cleaver<\/a><\/strong> will start for Kentucky in game two.<\/p>\n
